Home & Community-Based Behavioral Health Treatment Services

Children’s Home & Community-Based Treatment

Providence serves approximately 300 children and families in their homes and communities from Bangor to Kittery, using an outcomes-based treatment model called Providence's Intensive In-Home Services. Developed in partnership with the University of Arizona, this model is provided by a team of professionals made up of a Master's-Level Clinician and a Bachelor's Behavioral Health Professional. The model is flexible by design so as to best meet the individual needs and cultural uniqueness of each child and family.

Clinicians and BHPs use techniques that derive from evidence-based treatment methodologies such as:
- Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy,
- Structural Family Therapy,
- Solution Focused Therapy,
- Seven Challenges© Substance Abuse Treatment,
- Applied Behavioral Analysis and many others.
Services are fine-tuned to meet individual needs, but in general, the treatment team provides individual and family therapy and support, parenting education, behavior management,
after-hours phone support, and collaboration with case managers, psychiatrists and others to ensure the most effective treatment.
